Will this wreck my washing machine?
The opposite, actually. Loose shoes slam against a steel drum for the whole cycle — that's what damages machines and shoes both. The padded chenille shell absorbs that impact, so the drum takes far less of a beating. Most people tell us the wash is noticeably quieter than washing shoes without a bag.
Will it actually get them clean, or just protect them?
Both — and that's the difference between this and a plain mesh laundry bag. The inside is lined with dense chenille bristles that scrub the shoe as the drum turns. A mesh bag only holds the shoe still; this one does the scrubbing for you.
Can't I just use a cheap mesh bag?
You can, and it'll stop your laces tangling. What it won't do is clean, and it won't stop the shoe hitting the drum — mesh is a net, not padding.
What size shoes fit?
Up to a US men's 12. Smaller sizes leave more room to move, which is fine. For the best clean we recommend one bag per shoe so each shoe gets full contact with the lining — that's why most people order two.
Do I still need detergent?
Yes. Add your normal detergent as you would for any load. The mesh end panels let water and detergent flow straight through both ends, so the shoe gets washed rather than sitting in a sealed pouch. A pod works fine too.
What settings should I use?
Cold or warm water on a normal or gentle cycle. Remove insoles and laces first if you want them properly clean. Air dry afterwards — dryer heat can loosen adhesives in some shoes, bag or no bag.
Which shoes shouldn't go in?
Canvas, mesh and most synthetic sneakers do great. Skip leather, suede, and anything with heavy glued-on embellishments — those don't belong in a washing machine in any bag. If a pair is expensive and you're unsure, check the care label first.
How long will the bag last?
It's built to be reused indefinitely — the shell and locking zip survive repeated cycles. Rinse it out and air dry between uses. If it fails inside 60 days, you get your money back.
When will it arrive?
Every order ships tracked, and the tracking number comes by email as soon as it's on its way. If anything goes wrong in transit, email us and a real person will sort it.
What if it doesn't work for me?
Use it for 60 days. If you're not satisfied, contact us within 60 days of receiving your order and we'll refund you in full. You don't need to argue your case — if it didn't work for you, that's reason enough.
